About Myself!:-)

First of all, I would like to let you know that this page is created in only one purpose is to make FRIENDSHIP. Basically, it's about FRIENDSHIP. Now let me tell you this--you are very SPECIAL persons in my life, and I am very happy with happiness for being your friend and YOU for being my friends. I thank you all for our long life FRIENDSHIP that I hope it never ends.

Of course, you know who I am. However, to be more tight and close to you I introduce myself again to you all.

My name is Socheth Sok called Kim (from my softball Roaster teammates) and Meach (from my family).

I am original from Phnom Pehn, Cambodia. I have two brothers and two sisters. I love my family very much.

I relized and understood the value of FRIENDSHIP when I went to Intradevi High School in 1994, Cambodia. I have left behind of lots of memories there that I have never forgotten in any second.

During 10th grade at Intradevi, my friends and I made up a family which was called "Destroyed Mines Family." There are 9 memembers. We are girls, of course, but we've pretended to be a great-grandfather (Hang Choun Narita), great-grandmother (Keo Chharvy), grandfather (Koy Keo Linda), grandmother (Prang Chouksar), father (Thach Sinath), mother (Hout Phally), son (Sok Socheth), uncle (Ngoun Sokunthea) and aunt (Noun Moun Tharvy). We have helped each other so much in study as well as others. This family still exists, but we are away from each other. My great grandmother moved to Australia in late 1994; I came to study abroad in US in 1996. One and a half year later, my grandmother came to US for abroad studied in Florida. My great grandfather goes to study at Faculty of Business, work as a french translator for Phnom Pehn Post and non-profit organization, and she will continue her study in France soon; my grandfather got married after graduated from high school and own a wholesale, and my mom and uncle work as a traveller agent and an operator for telephone company. Unfortunately, we lost contact with my father and aunt, but great grandfather told that my aunt lives in US right now.

I graduated from Penfield High School, New York in 1998. I learned many things from my grandmother who I stayed with for two years. I have a God-family and others who always encourage me to be the best.

Now, I am here at Riverside Community College as a freshmen. During this time, I stay with a wonderful American family who is kind, care, encourage and love me as their sons and a daughter. In fact, I am their daughter now. I call them mom and dad, but somtimes I am shy to say so. It has to do with me who is not used to be in this kind of condition before. However, I love this family very much, and they are always in my heart forever.

PHILOSOPHY OF FRIENDSHIP!
As I start to write about FRIENDSHIP, I've been thinking how can I describe the word itself. "FRIENDSHIP!" this word is really powerful to me. I define it as a relation to one another that people cannot live in this world without it--FRIENDSHIP. Indeed, "it depends on WHO you are talking to", as Gabby once said.

In fact, I would like to make FRIENDSHIP with you. Also, I would like you to jot down the current events and past events that is ABOUT friendship.

Time!? Yeah! TIME! "Time is a gold" as I usually heard from Narita, from magazine, from old folks and bluh........ My idea!? toward TIME!? Time is making us old but consider this "Everything good when new, but FRIENDSHIP when old." Thus, I don't look to any perspective of yours.

As a matter of fact, TIME goes by so fast like the blink of an eye, and everything changes from day to day, month to month, year to year and season to season. As a result of these changes, we cannot stop TIME, and what we experience today is not the same as what we experienced yesterday and will experience tomorrow. Thus, how should we, as youth, make our lives meaningful and valuable for today and tomorrow, especially while we are students at RCC as well as others?

I like to make friends because I believe that "It is better to make friends, than to make enermies."

In addition, youth is a spring season in which we grow. Our FRIENDSHIP grows handsomely and beautifully like tulips in the garden of spring, tulips that dance in a gentle breeze.

When we are lack of FRIENDSHIP, we may feel stressed, depressed and unvaluable in life. People who have no friends are lonely.

FRIENDSHIP is one of the most important things in our lives, bringing HAPPINESS and HOPE. Do you think so?

Therefore, TRUE friendship is IMMORTAL, and it is hard to find and care for. PLEASE VALUE OUR FRIENDSHIP! and remember that it involves FOREGIVENESS, TRUST, and HELPFULNESS.

Thank you very much for your time!
Best Wishes with much love,
Socheth
